The Wiseman House is situated in the center of Swan's Island Village, on Swan's Island, Maine in Penobscot Bay. The island is located 6 miles off the coast of Mount Desert Island, home to Acadia National Park. The house is a classic Victorian, modernized with a deck running the length of the house on the ocean side. From the deck, you will enjoy dramatic sunrises in the morning and beautiful moonrises at night. You can enjoy your evenings in our comfortable deck furniture, dining on fresh caught lobsters, fish and other seafood. The kitchen, dining room and living room all have sliding Marvin doors and screens opening onto the deck and a panorama of Burnt Coat Harbor. The downstair of the house is open and airy receiving morning and afternoon light. The living room has a large sectional sofa, a television with satellite service, a DVD player with a selection of favorite movies. The kitchen features a brick hearth with oven and stove opening into the dining room with a counter for buffet service. Refrigerator/freezer and Asko high energy efficient dishwasher are some of the amenities found in the kitchen. The suite of rooms downstairs is completed with a half-bath and office area. The house has high speed wireless internet access as well as an internet connection in the office. The office also has a futon, which can double as a fifth bedroom. Upstairs, there are four spacious bedrooms with dressers and closets. Three bedrooms with queen-size beds have views of the harbor and the sunrise. The master bedroom has a tempurpedic mattress and pillows, and a small television with satellite service. The fourth bedroom has two twin beds. The recently renovated upstairs bathroom has a spacious 48" x 48" shower, double sinks and Italian fixtures. In a bathroom closet, there is a high energy efficient Asko clothes washer and dryer.
